Dr. Chesley earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed his radiology residency at UT Health San Antonio — where he served as chief resident and received the 2021 Stuart R. Reuter Resident of the Year Award, given to the resident who best exemplifies professionalism in the field. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology there in 2022.

Patients consistently praise his down-to-earth bedside manner. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association and the Society of Interventional Radiology, and sees patients in both English and Spanish.
