About us

Meet your care team.

Choosing a doctor comes down to trust. So here is who you’d be trusting — where each of us trained, what we do here every day, and a little about who we are when the white coat comes off.

Physical Medicine & Pain Management

If you come to us for joint, knee, or back pain, your care often starts here — with precise diagnosis and image-guided treatment, not a surgery pitch.

Dr. Lisa Persyn

Board Certified · Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Lisa D. Persyn, M.D.

Dr. Persyn is a native San Antonian. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with dual degrees in molecular biology and psychology, earned her medical degree at UT Health San Antonio, and completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Her specialty is the non-surgical side of joint pain: understanding how a joint actually functions — and hurts — and treating it with image-guided precision injections so that every dose lands exactly where it should.

Away from the clinic, she’s outdoors — summers at the lake, winters skiing with her sons — and always in the middle of a good book.

Dr. Praful Singh

Board Certified Anesthesiology
Fellowship-Trained, Interventional Pain Management

Praful C. Singh, M.D.

Dr. Singh attended the University of Kashmir medical school, then came to the United States for an internal medicine residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan, an anesthesiology residency at SUNY Buffalo, and a pain management fellowship at the University of Rochester. He holds a subspecialty certification in Pain Management from the American Board of Anesthesiology.

For more than three decades, his entire practice has been one thing: understanding pain and treating it — expertly, and without unnecessary surgery.

Dr. Singh and his wife have two sons — both physicians, and both practicing internal medicine. He has traveled all over the world, but family time is still his favorite trip.

Vascular & Interventional Radiology

These are the doctors who perform our embolization procedures — the image-guided treatments for knee arthritis, uterine fibroids, hemorrhoids, adenomyosis, and more.

Dr. Samy Al-Bayati

Board Certified · Vascular & Interventional Radiology

Samy A. Al-Bayati, M.D.

Dr. Al-Bayati brings a rare combination: training in both urology and interventional radiology. He earned his medical degree in Baghdad and completed a urology residency there before coming to the United States, where he completed a research fellowship in urology, a residency in diagnostic radiology, and a fellowship in interventional radiology — all at UT Health San Antonio, where he now serves as a faculty member.

He specializes in complex embolization and endovascular procedures, is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the American College of Radiology, and has been recognized repeatedly for leadership, academic excellence, and teaching.

When he’s not practicing medicine, he’s with his wife and two children — usually mid-project. He’s a DIY enthusiast who finds real satisfaction in a well-tended yard.

Dr. Arthur Joseph

Board Certified · Vascular & Interventional Radiology

Arthur S. Joseph, D.O., M.P.H.

Dr. Joseph is board-certified in diagnostic and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Florida, and completed his interventional radiology residency at UT Health San Antonio.

His passion is minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that improve outcomes without open surgery — including high-acuity vascular work and embolization therapy. He also teaches and mentors medical students, residents, and fellows, with numerous publications in the field.

At home he’s a dad of two, a gym regular and basketball player, and a devoted fan of stand-up and improv comedy. His running goal: visit all 50 states.

Dr. Andrew Chesley

Board Certified · Vascular & Interventional Radiology

Andrew V. Chesley, M.D.

Consults in English & Spanish

Dr. Chesley earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed his radiology residency at UT Health San Antonio — where he served as chief resident and received the 2021 Stuart R. Reuter Resident of the Year Award, given to the resident who best exemplifies professionalism in the field. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology there in 2022.

Patients consistently praise his down-to-earth bedside manner — advanced clinical skill delivered without the lecture. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Society of Interventional Radiology, and sees patients in both English and Spanish.

Outside of medicine, he’s a runner, and he cherishes time with his wife and three sons.

Advanced Practice

The clinicians who make sure nothing falls through the cracks — before your procedure and after it.

Meredith Reynolds, MSN, ACNP-BC

Meredith is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University, with clinical experience spanning neurology, emergency medicine, and occupational medicine.

She sees patients in consultation and follow-up — part of how this practice keeps its promise that you’re never just a procedure on a schedule.
